About the festival

SONify! is a festival of music that presents the artistic production developed by musicians and students of the Doctoral School for Artistic Research at the KUG.

In a special combination of concert formats, informal short talks, and other forms of exchange, the festival offers the opportunity to experience artistic exploration and knowledge directly. Ranging from performance to composition, new music to renaissance, classical to jazz, it opens space for dialogue between art production and scientific research, and between researchers, artists, and the public.

The festival will take place on four dates in May in Graz, including a „Festival Preview“ on May 27th and further concert on 29th 30th and 31th of May.

Art, like knowledge, should be accessible to us all: thus, admission to all SONify! concerts and events is free of charge. Donations towards festival costs will be accepted at the door.
